Fire Protection Compliance for Industrial Property near Forest Areas

GREEN2SUSTAIN supported a major industrial client in fulfilling the requirements of the national Fire Protection Regulation for properties located within or close to forested areas, based on the most recent legal framework. The company’s facilities are situated just 50 meters from areas classified as forest land, which places them within the scope of the regulation.

Fire protection has become increasingly critical as climate change intensifies the frequency and impact of wildfires. Especially for industrial operations near vulnerable ecosystems, preventive planning is not just a legal obligation—it’s a responsibility towards the environment, local communities, and long-term business resilience.

Our team conducted a detailed site assessment using officially validated forest maps and identified the relevant exposure. We then evaluated the fire risk based on a set of environmental, topographical, and infrastructural criteria. A tailored technical report was developed, including all necessary fire safety measures—preventive, passive, and active—along with a detailed site plan. Finally, we supported the client in preparing and submitting the mandatory annual declaration of compliance through the national platform.

GREEN2SUSTAIN offers comprehensive support for organizations navigating the regulatory and technical complexities of fire protection. From risk evaluation and technical documentation to regulatory declarations and implementation oversight, we ensure that our clients remain compliant, safe, and environmentally responsible.
